10 Most Beautiful State Flags In America

1. Alaska

Alaska top the list of most beautiful flags in the US. It has most simplistic design. The flag of Alaska has a dark blue background with eight golden stars. These stars form the Big Dipper and Polaris. The Big Dipper is a group of stars in the Ursa Major constellation that looks like a bear. This bear is special because it is native to Alaska. On the flag, the stars of the Big Dipper can help people find Polaris and figure out true north. True north is different from magnetic north and can change a lot. So, the stars on the flag can guide people, especially beginners, to find their way in Alaska.
